Okay, okay. Please, forgive me for being a terrible blogger. No, I haven't neglected you all- just think of it like I've just been busy experiencing wonderful & exciting things to share with you. Above, you can see some pictures from my trip to Virginia Beach (it was rather difficult to narrow it down from over 100 to 5*). Unfortunately, I didn't snap a picture of my TRENTA iced coffee from Starbucks. SHAME ON ME. 30 ounces of pure caffeine.. so heavenly it deserves it's own photoshoot. I hope trenta makes its way to NYC soon because my usual venti just doesn't do the trick anymore (I know you other Starbucks/coffee addicts agree)! Anyway, Virginia Beach was totally opposite of what I expected- the food was delicious & affordable, the hotel was great (mostly because I could walk onto the beach from my room), there were palm trees and Starbucks (big plus), and the beach was clean. I'd go back. Totally worth the nine hour road trip. I like road trips. The best part?..
I got to see a cow. Well, a few cows. MOO.

*I'm hoping to start a Facebook page sooner than later so it's a lot easier to share more than a few pictures
I was back home for the 4th but chose to prolong my week of relaxation by staying home to watch fireworks from my backyard- & also got to witness one of the most stunning sunsets (pictured above). It looks like a painting, I've never seen anything like it.
In my last post, I mentioned an upcoming project. It's coming together a lot quicker than I thought so hopefully I'll be sharing it with you soon. Or maybe I'll make you apart of the process. I spent most of Tuesday searching for the perfect fabric for it & ended up settling for a beautiful light peachy pink silk chiffon (surprising, right)? I'm beginning to realize that a majority of the clothes I own are chiffon (including the dress I'm chillin' like a villain in the picture below). Kay. So I suppose this post goes to show I'm a caffeine and chiffon addict. Shoot me. With a water gun, of course. 'Cause it's kinda hot out here. Oh. And because violence just isn't acceptable.
Along with roadtripping, catching up on other fashion blogs, working, soaking up tons of UV rays, chasing fireflies, growing sunflowers and perfecting my latest project, I've been researching & planning something/things to do next week for... MY BIRTHDAY. It's going to be an exciting week, I promise you. And, because I'm crazy, I've already picked out not one but TWO birthday dresses- both of which I'll show you. Everybody say, HIP HIP HOORAY!
Have a lovely Thursday evening, kissies!
