If you've spent the weekend working and doing homework, then you can understand why when Monday morning rolls around I have no desire to get out of bed, look for a fairly decent outfit, and manage catch the bus on time. This Monday was the same as every other; I woke up late, threw an outfit together and ran out the door. By the time 2PM rolled around, I was in desperate need of something, anything to lighten my mood. So when one of my classmates complimented my outfit, I was a bit happier. She proceeded to ask me if I was aware of what a Mori Girl was and went on to tell me that I reminded her of one. At the time, I had no idea what a Mori Girl was. Anyway, I went back to making my gazillion patterns and my classmate then approached me and asked if she could take some pictures of me for her blog! THERE'S THE EXCITEMENT MY DAY WAS NEEDING. So, please excuse my lack of makeup and messy hair, but check out her blog & the pictures here.
So. Now I'm sure you too are wondering what in the world a Mori Girl is. Mori means forest in Japanese therefore a Mori Girl translates to Forest Girl. These girls dress up in beautiful, intricate vintage, lace, floral pieces and have eclectic accessories to complete the look. They look like something from a fairytale. See more about Mori Girls here.
I've always been interested in the Japanese culture and their impeccable style so learning about Mori Girls (and being told I resemble one!) is something I find super cool.
Stay dry, kissies!
PS- I've been posting 'Outfit of the Day' pictures on the blog's facebook. They're just quick pictures taken with my phone to keep you all updated!
