June 5, 2011

Howdy folks! Despite the "way too chilly for June" weather, I spent a majority of my weekend wandering  the great outdoors.. aka NYC. And by wandering I mean window shopping, eating excessively, stopping every couple of blocks to take pictures of things, and discovering new places to shop, eat, and enjoy the summer weather, whenever it chooses to arrive. Anyway. I kicked off my weekend by venturing off to the batting cages to hit some balls (who knew I had it in me?) and then later on, made some s'mores.
While wandering, I spotted this super cool window display. I wish there wasn't a glare on the window so you could see the awesomeness being displayed. But it appears to be a lilac & yellow velvet something or another.
I've been hunting for a really cool pair of low cut cowboy boots. No luck, so far. But I did like the pointed toe of these alligator skin ones. Anyway. The search continues.
My dad caught this shot of me while I was looking at the Brooklyn Bridge. I'm wearing my Grandmother's vintage blazer & a Charlotte Ronson top.

Last but definitely not least.. You didn't think I'd be window shopping for hours and NOT buy something, right? I made quite a lovely purchase at Free People though I plan on waiting for the perfect time to reveal it to you. As for the shoesies, my mom surprised me with them, yesterday. I love the chain detailing and how no ankle bracelets are required cause boy, do I hate ankle bracelets.
